ROOTED IS A PROGRAM OF COMMUNITY HOMESCHOOL CO-OP
ACADEMICS
Rooted offers a Dual Credit program for students in 10th through 12th grade, allowing them to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. Classes are offered through Colorado Christian University and are taught from a Christian worldview.
Courses are delivered in a blend of formats:
* Online (both synchronous and asynchronous
- In-person instruction
Each semester runs for 15 weeks, beginning in late August and January. Students may enroll in 2 to 5 courses per semester. Completed courses count as credit toward both high school graduation (for homeschool students) and college transcripts.
Full-time students have the opportunity to pursue an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree, which can be completed in 2 to 3 years, depending on their chosen pace.
DISCIPLESHIP
Rooted’s discipleship program is specially designed for high school students and will be led by Pastors Aaron and Anna Cyboron, along with CHC Director Leah Rixmann.
Each semester, students will:
Meet weekly with the Rooted Cohort to study God’s Word and character, explore identity and purpose in Christ, and grow in spiritual maturity.
- Participate in monthly ministry and learning events, offering opportunities to live out their faith and connect with believers across various spheres of business and ministry.
The program will culminate with a 10–14 day mission trip in June, providing students with a transformative, hands-on experience in service and outreach
OUR PARTNERSHIP
Rooted is a new partnership program between Community Homeschool Co-op and Colorado Christian University. CCU-Academy is a well-established program used by over 200 schools for in person Dual Credit, as well as over 700 individual online dual credit students.
Students enroll through Colorado Christian University for both types of class. Online classes which have a full cohort (17 students) may be able to have live zoom lessons with professors. Online courses will have a Rooted facilitator. In-Person classes will have a Rooted teacher.
- Fall Semester begins in late August, Spring semester begins in January.
- Rooted will host 3 classes per semester, live or online on the CHC campus.. In–person classes will meet once or twice a week. Full-time students can add more online classes for individual study.
- CCU- Academy will accept transfer credits, (up to 75% of an AA) from other dual credit programs.
- AA degrees are available through CCU (60 credits) and would necessitate 15 credits per semester.
- There are 30 online courses to choose from in the CCU-Academy catalog. As we expand our Rooted in-person classes, we will have even more options for students to choose from.
ABOUT DISCIPLESHIP
Rooted Discipleship is a year-long course designed to help students grow in their relationship with Jesus through time, teaching, relationships, and hands-on ministry.
- Weekly Class: 2.5 hours, led by Pastors Aaron & Anna Cyboron
Eligible for a CCU Bible credit
- Topics Covered:
Nature & Character of God, Bible Study & Devotion, Identity in Christ, Repentance & the Cross, Holy Spirit & Discipleship, Forgiveness & Relationships, Church & Communion, God’s Mission & Purpose.
- Devotionals & Projects: Regular Bible reading and personal assignments
- Monthly Outreach Events: One Saturday/month (4 hours)
- Year-End Missions Trip: A short-term team trip in June
Discipleship Goals:
Students will learn to walk as disciples, understand their identity, engage with the church, and take steps to live out God’s mission in the world.
TUITION & INVESTMENT
These rates offer substantial savings compared to traditional college tuition. Credits are transferable to most universities.
Rooted Program Fee:

- Includes the full discipleship program, which also fulfills a 3-credit Bible course($425 value)
- Online CCU-Academy Courses: $330 per course Most courses are 3 credits ($110 per credit).
- In-Person Rooted Courses: $425 per course
Taught on campus by Rooted instructors.
- End of year outreach costs are not included in the program fee.
The dual purpose of the Rooted program is to provide a Christ-centered alternative for high school students who want to earn college credit, and ultimately to make disciples of Jesus who are deeply rooted in Christ, bearing fruit in every area of life.
